Further development of the IRAA currently requires enactment of institutional partnership initiatives. Research and the creation of registry records on individual artists will continue throughout this period; however, the database will not be accessible to the general Internet user, as it had been since the IRAA's founding in 1997. Thank you for your continued support.   Instructions for Searching To perform a search, first choose "Search by Artist" or "Search by Artwork". Then simply fill in any search fields. The matching results will be retrieved from the databases and displayed for you. You can enter partial phrases or numbers, and results that contain what you entered will be displayed. For example, if you enter the letters "Ab" in the artist's last name field, you would see entries for each registrant whose last name contains the letters "Ab". This applies to IRAA numbers as well. For instance, if you simply type "14" in the IRAA Number field, you'll get all artists whose number contains "14". In the Media list, you can select more than one category by holding down the "Control" key on Windows or the "Command" key on the Macintosh while clicking on the categories. In the Birth and Death Date fields, you can search for a range of years by inserting "..." between two years. Use "match all criteria" or "match any criteria" to further refine your search. "Match all criteria" locates only those registrants that match all of the search fields you filled in, while "match any criteria" locates registrants that meet one or more of the fields you filled in. "Any" is generally less specific than "all", and will return a greater number of results.
