introduction joining the IRAA contacting a registrant download a registration packet |
The IRAA is an authority in the registration of professional artists and artwork, and as such, serves anyone interested in art - including museums, historians, commercial galleries, educators, collectors, archivists, scholars, fine art publishers, universities, curators, estate managers, students, art insurers, and of course, artists. Since 1997 the IRAA has been an international registry that allows artists and their representatives to have direct control over establishing a record of the artist's life of work. The IRAA Web site serves as the central interface for searching all IRAA records of artists and artwork, making the data universally accessible through this unbiased registry. Currently there are more than 37,000 artist records in the IRAA. We are completing research on 60,000 additional artists, including issuing their Artist IRAA Numbers and establishing their records. Meet the strategy, research, and development team. We offer a simple accreditation process for artists and their representatives through our established identification numbering system and method of registration. All registered artists and each of their registered artworks are uniquely identified by this alphanumeric system. Why join the IRAA? |

| Another significant feature of the IRAA is the ability to easily research an artwork's provenance within our records, allowing a work to be tracked from its creation. And as participation increases in the registry, which now contains 37,000+ records, artists will find their artworks included among the many other professional artists that have existed throughout history. Please explore the links to the left to learn more about how the IRAA works and how it can benefit you.
